Homeowner Associations
A Casino for lawyers, rental judges and association vendors

Homeowner associations have become high pay-off machines for the homeowner association litigation industry, rental judges and allied vendors.

They rig the machines through the legislative process, so that the gold comes tumbling out when they pull the lever.

The "gold" is made up of association reserves, the home equity of homeowners, HOA insurance policies (directors and officers liability policies for boards and managers homeowners are forced to pay for, and which the lawyers use to rake in their legal fees) and the life savings of homeowners.

Lawyers, management companies and rent-a-judges all "go for the gold".

In California lawyers can subject homeowners to unlimited lawyers fees and take away people's homes with no due process or court hearing to collect even a false $5 late charge.

One of the largest management companies in California had a lucrative practice for themselves, several lawyers, insurance companies and other vendors for two decades posting false late charges, extorting and foreclosing on homeowners, and manufacturing lawsuits.

Hundreds of homeowner victims flooded law enforcement, including the former California Attorney General Dan Ludgren, and legislators , including Governor Pete Wilson and Department of Real Estate Commissioner Clark Wallace, with pleadings for help. They were ignored.

These lawyers and vendors had rigged the legislative system in California to be able to steal homes in homeowner associations . Legislators and law enforcement continue to blithely tell the victims, "There's nothing we can do to help you legally."

Lawyers and allied vendors now spend their time figuring ways of manufacturing lawsuits in homeowner associations. They file lawsuit when a homeowner paints their front door a shade lighter than beige it was. They fine and foreclose for pets being heavier that what they decreed, for planting roses, for parking on your private driveway, for a brown grass spot on your lawn -for anything - just to force the extortion of thousands of dollars in legal fees and take away people's homes .
