In 1995, Assemblywoman Speier sponsored the first bill ever to be brought on behalf of homeowners who live in associations.
Despite fierce opposition from powerful lobbying groups, she tenaciously and skillfully steered the bill to its final passage, and signing by the governor. In deep appreciation for her compassionate care and concern for the California homeowner, AHRC presents her with its first award. Thank you, Senator Jackie Speier. |
